The Brewers head coach Charles Okere is optimistic that his charges will overcome Bandari since they have worked on the shortcomings they had in the painful defeat to Shabana.

“I am very happy for the preparations that we have had as a team. We had a long journey, you know, from Nairobi to Mombasa but we had two training days. So, the team is in good shape and the morale in camp is so high. Tomorrow, we believe the boys are going to give their 100 percent.

We have sharpened our strikers in terms of attacking and of course in terms of preventing goals. That is something that is a priority to us,” stated Okere.

Nevertheless, Okere admitted that Bandari will make life difficult for them after strengthening their squad during the recently closed transfer window.

“We are playing a very tough, rejuvenated Bandari side. It is going to be a tough match but at the end of the day, we are trying to improve on the resilience of our players.

So, for us we don’t have any pressure. We have recruited well also and we have a very good team balance. We believe we are going to get a positive result tomorrow,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Bandari FC head coach Kenneth Odhiambo has urged the residents of Mombasa to travel to Mbaraki and give their team support.

“I am requesting our fans to come and cheer for our local boys in our big clash against Tusker FC. We are asking knowing that you will turn up in large numbers and support our home team so that they can get three points,” ended Odhiambo.

A win for the hosts, who currently sit at position seven in the standings, will increase their tally to 35 points.

Apart from the Bandari versus Tusker FC clash, two other big FKFPL matches will be on offer this Sunday.

Shabana will play against Kakamega Homeboyz in Kisii while Murang’a Seal are expected to lock horns with Mathare United at the SportPesa Arena.
