Red Bull’s Max Verstappen converted pole position into a win as he put on a brilliant performance to cruise to his first ever Singapore Grand Prix victory on Sunday.
The result delivered his 73rd career Grand Prix victory and completed a memorable weekend on his 250th career start.
Verstappen was in a class of his own and commanded the race to hold off Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc who came in second, ahead of Kimi Antonelli in third place.
The podium finish for Antonelli further strengthens his hold on the Formula One Driver standings with 340 points, more than a hundred more than his closest challenger and teammate George Russell.
This victory was another statement from Verstappen and Red Bull, who arrived in Singapore in resurgent form following their recent improvements.
The four-time world champion managed his pace intelligently, balancing outright speed with tyre preservation and the need to keep his car under control around Marina Bay’s unforgiving barriers.
Despite the pressure associated with a Singapore night race, Verstappen remained composed and crossed the line after 62 laps in a winning time of 1:42:00.785.
Leclerc crossed the finish line 7.335 seconds behind the winner, while Antonelli finished 24.573 seconds adrift.

McLaren’s Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri took fourth and fifth respectively, with Lewis Hamilton completing the top six for Ferrari.
Antonelli continued his impressive 2026 campaign by finishing third for Mercedes, keeping himself firmly in the championship conversation.
The Italian youngster was involved in the fight for the final podium position and ultimately secured 15 points, which was especially significant because Mercedes teammate Russell could only manage ninth after starting deep in the field following an engine penalty.
Vertsappen’s win followed a strong weekend that included Sprint success and pole position, providing further evidence that Red Bull’s recent improvements have made the team increasingly competitive.
He remains in fourth place on the standings with 221 points, with six races to go in the 2026 Formula One calendar.
