- AFC Leopards vs Nairobi United rescheduled SportPesa League match will be played on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.

AFC Leopards will host Nairobi United on Wednesday afternoon at the Nyayo National Stadium in a rescheduled SportPesa League match kicking off at 3pm.
Ingwe will be desperate to make amends after a disappointing weekend where they dropped three crucial points in the Round of 24, a result that seriously dented their title ambitions this season.
The Fred Ambani side turned in one of their poorest displays of the campaign when they fell 4-1 to a well-organized Mathare United at the same venue on Saturday.

AFC Leopards vs Nairobi United preview
Although Victor Omune had handed them the lead in the second half, John Kamau’s men mounted an impressive comeback, capitalizing on defensive lapses from Ingwe.
Brian Ouru grabbed a brace, while Isaac Omweri and Ian Omondi found the net for the third and fourth goals, handing the visitors their fourth loss of the season.
AFC Leopards head into this clash sitting second on the log with 43 points from 12 wins, seven draws, and four losses. However, much is expected from them as they trail league leaders Gor Mahia by 10 points their rivals currently sit top with 53 points.
The best way to trim that gap to seven points is to secure a win at home, where they have been solid. They have lost just once in ten home matches, winning six and drawing three, and will be chasing a fourth straight home victory in that run.
Still, it won’t come easy against a resilient Nairobi United side eager to secure back-to-back wins and extend their unbeaten run to five matches (2wins, 2draws).

NaiBois, who have played just 21 league matches this season due to their CAF Confederation Cup commitments, come into this fixture sitting ninth with 33 points.
They will be riding high after their previous narrow 1-0 win over a struggling Sofapaka. That victory marked their sixth away win from 11 matches on the road, along with three draws and just two losses.
AFC Leopards vs Nairobi United team news
Speaking ahead of the match, Nairobi United assistant coach Boniface Omindi stated they are expecting a thrilling contest but is confident this is the perfect moment to avenge their first-leg loss, insisting they are now better prepared.
“We anticipate a very tough game. After they lost to Mathare United, we expect them to come out strongly,” he said.
“In the first leg, we largely lost due to fatigue, having had minimal rest just two days after an away match against Shabana. This time, we’ve all had the same rest days and without much travel, so we’re confident of securing a win,” he added.

The first leg saw AFC Leopards beat them 2-0 back in January, thanks to an own goal and a Kelly Madada strike in the second half.
But things could be tougher for 12-time SportPesa League champions, this time as they will be missing key players Kayci Odhiambo, Emmanuel Lwangu, Elias Mugane, and Maxwell Otieno, all sidelined as they recover from various injuries.
The club confirmed their unavailability for the match a blow to their title charge, as they’ve been core contributors under Fred Ambani.

“Elias Mugane and Maxwell Otieno are still recovering after undergoing surgical procedures to repair their anterior cruciate and meniscus injuries, respectively. Kaycie Odhiambo will sit out for the next two weeks after suffering a foot injury.
On his return to first-team action, Emmanuel Lwangu sustained an ankle sprain in our FKF-PL match against Mathare United last weekend,” the club statement read.
This will be the second-ever SportPesa League encounter between the two sides, and each will be chasing different objectives making this one a thriller to watch.
