KCB Rugby, Kabras Sugar RFC, Menengai Oilers and Daystar Falcons finished Day One of the 2026 Christie 7s unbeaten, topping their respective pools on Saturday, September 12, at the RFUEA Grounds.
The Christie 7s marks the final leg of the six-leg SportPesa National Sevens Circuit, and the quartet have already punched their tickets into the Main Cup quarterfinals, where they will be joined by another four sides led by Strathmore Leos.
Invited side Club Afrique, NYS Spades and Mwamba RFC also booked their places in the Cup quarterfinals to be played on Sunday.

KCB, who are looking to defend their silverware while also maintaining their strong run, needed a semifinal appearance to keep the overall title defence firmly in their hands. They topped Pool A with nine points.
They began their campaign with a commanding 40-5 victory over Masinde Muliro University before replicating the same scoreline against Club Afrique. They then prevailed 20-7 over hosts Kenya Harlequin to wrap up Day One on a high.
KCB will now face NYS Spades in the Cup quarterfinals after the minnows emerged as another surprise package, securing back-to-back quarterfinal appearances having also made it through at the Driftwood 7s.

The Martin Munga charges finished second in Pool B after winning two of their matches, beating KU BlakBlad 19-7 and edging Mean Machine 12-10. They also secured a bonus point in their 12-5 loss to Kabras in their opener.
They will now be eyeing their first-ever Circuit semifinal berth as they look to pull off an upset against title hopefuls KCB on Sunday morning.
Kabras Sugar, who are mathematically still in contention for the overall title, had a tricky outing despite winning all three of their matches.
They kicked off the day with a narrow 12-5 victory over NYS Spades, edged Mean Machine 22-7 and wrapped up their pool campaign with a 19-7 triumph over KU BlakBlad.
They will now look to improve their performance tomorrow when they take on Club Afrique, a dangerous side capable of causing an upset. Kabras know they need at least a place in the final four, and ideally the title decider, to keep their championship hopes alive.
Elsewhere, Menengai Oilers topped Pool C and will take on Mwamba RFC, who finished runners-up in Pool D. Strathmore Leos survived Pool C to finish second and will face Daystar Falcons in an all-university clash.
