The 2026 SportPesa 7s final leg, Christie 7s, got underway on Saturday morning at the RFUEA Grounds, with the big guns kicking off on a high note.
KCB Rugby, headlining Pool A, managed to dismantle MMuST RFC 40-5 in their opener, making a strong statement as they look to retain the overall championship.
They replicated the same commanding performance in their second match of the day, dispatching invited side Club Afrique 40-5.

The Bankers will be looking to top the group to ensure a favourable Main Cup quarterfinal pairing on Sunday, as the permutations for the overall championship mean they will need to finish at least third in this sixth and final outing.
That said, their neck-and-neck rivals, Kabras RFC, also enjoyed a productive morning, winning both of their opening matches.
However, their victories did not come easily, as they had to dig deep for a 12-5 win over circuit minnows NYS Spades.
The Sugar Millers also had to withstand a spirited challenge from promoted side Mean Machine before securing a 22-7 victory.

Just like KCB, Kabras are aiming for a podium finish in this round and will be hoping the Bankers falter, with anything less than a fourth-place finish potentially opening the door for them to snatch the championship title.
The morning kick-offs did not produce many upsets, with hosts Kenya Harlequin suffering a 26-19 defeat to Club Afrique, while Menengai Oilers managed to overcome Strathmore Leos 17-10.
