Posta Rangers will host Kenya Police FC at the Kasarani Annex on Friday afternoon in the opening Sportpesa League Round 24 fixture, with kickoff scheduled for 3pm EAT.
The hosts are desperate to end a long winless streak and move away from the relegation fight, while the defending champions aim to close the gap on the top four and reignite their title defense albeit late.
Kenya Police FC, currently sitting fifth on the log with 37 points from 23 matches, enter the tie looking to regain the consistency that saw them lift the trophy last season.

The Law Enforcers have been resilient but have struggled with draws recently, missing opportunities to leapfrog the teams above them.
With leaders Gor Mahia still 13 points clear, the champions know that maximum points against the Mailmen are essential to keep their slim hopes of a title defense alive.
For the hosts, Posta Rangers occupy 13th place with 25 points. The Mailmen are coming off a morale-boosting 1-1 draw against Gor Mahia but have not tasted victory in over ten matches, a slump dating back to early December.

The mailmen Head Coach Charles Omondi Korea has expressed concern over the team’s failure to bury their chances and win matches despite playing so well in recent days.
“Out of our 11 matches without a win, there are halves that we played well including against Gor, AFC Leopards, Tusker, Kariobangi Sharks and many more. My question to my players always is why can’t we kill the game when we are having momentum?”
On his part, Nicholas Muyoti settling in his first season at Police has challenged the federation to tackle the match fixing menace as the season approaches it’s homestretch.
“Iāve been talking about match fixing for a long time, three or five years now. Match fixing is there, itās real. There are people who are using officials, coaches, players to fix matches.
If the federation and the government fail to do something then we are in trouble, football will go down the drain. It is about time they do investigations and find out what is happening.ā Muyoti told the press after their win over Bandari.
