For the third season running, the Kenya Basketball Federation Men’s League Finals will pit Nairobi City Thunder against Kenya Ports Authority (KPA).
The reigning champions, who have won the title for the last two seasons, Thunder, and former holders KPA booked their slots after emerging 3-0 winners in their respective best-of-five semifinal clashes.
Thunder, who will be seeking a third consecutive title, managed to beat Stanbic Shields 88-65 in Game Three at Nyayo Gymnasium.
This capped off an 82-65 win in Game One, while in Game Two, they routed the Bankers 91-67.

Meanwhile, KPA, who are aiming to reclaim the title, defeated Equity Dumas 82-56 in Mombasa to book their place in the championship series.
They also had impressive performances in Games One and Two, where they routed the Bankers 87-56 and 102-87, respectively.
Now, the two most formidable sides will meet in the best-of-five finals, in a repeat of the last two championship series, where Nairobi City Thunder have managed to come out on top.
The Brad Ibs-led men will be looking to etch their names in the history books by winning a third consecutive title, joining KPA, Ulinzi Warriors, KCB Lions and Co-op Bank, teams that have won the league at least three times in a row.

As they chase another piece of silverware, Thunder will also be looking to maintain their unbeaten run, which dates all the way back to 2023.
Meanwhile, KPA will be looking to return to the top of the league and reclaim the title they last won in 2023.
They will also be seeking to avenge their last two finals defeats to their now-rivals, City Thunder, whom they have not beaten in a best-of-five finals series, with Thunder winning both encounters 3-0.
To their advantage, KPA, led by coach Robert Mugabe, will host the opening two games at the KPA Makande Gymnasium in Mombasa, where they will aim to make full use of the home advantage.

Game One will be played on Saturday, September 26, from 6pm, with Game Two scheduled for Sunday, September 27, also from 6pm.
Thunder, if they can put together a strong run away from home, will look to wrap up the series when they host Game Three at Nyayo Gymnasium, Nairobi, on Friday, October 2, from 8pm.
Games Four and Five, if needed, will be played on dates to be confirmed.
The last time the two sides met was in the regular season back in March, when Thunder managed to stun KPA 83-71.
