Tusker FC head coach Charles Okere has expressed his delight following the return of influential midfielder Chrispine Erambo, describing the player as a national team quality addition to the squad.
Erambo made his long-awaited return to action over the weekend, stepping onto the pitch for the final minutes of the club’s narrow 1-0 loss to arch-rivals Gor Mahia at the Kasarani Stadium.
He replaced Fabian Adikiny in the 78th minute, marking his first appearance in two months after being sidelined with injury.

Tusker FC head coach Charles Okere hails Erambo return from injury
It is a good welcome back for Erambo. He is a tactical and technical player with a good command on and off the ball.
We are happy with his progress and that he is finally back. He got a few minutes against Gor and it was a good first step in getting fully back in, and we are happy with the progress he has made this week,” stated Okere.
Okere further heaped praise on the returning star, emphasizing the quality he brings: “He is a player of national team quality and a great addition to our camp.”
The former Mombasa United midfielder was part of the Harambee Stars team that made history reaching the quarterfinals in it’s debut appearance at the CHAN 2024 tournament but picked an injury which relapsed at club level.
Erambo had previously featured in the Brewer’s first two matches of the season against Posta Rangers and KCB before his injury aggravated forcing him into a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Erambo’s return could not be more timely, as Tusker’s central midfield options have been significantly depleted in recent days.
Midfielder Issa Lumumba, who was acquired from Ulinzi Stars during the offseason window, was recalled to join the Military Recruits Training school.

Additionally, Ugandan international Dennis Iguma has been ruled out of the upcoming fixture against Mara Sugar FC due to a sprained ankle.
Coach Okere acknowledged the impact of Iguma’s absence but remained optimistic about his recovery.
Iguma is a very important player in our set up this season and it is unfortunate that he got a knock and has been ruled out.
He is however responding well with treatment and the medical team is doing its best to ensure he returns soon.”
The availability of Erambo will provide a significant boost as Tusker FC looks to return to winning ways and solidify its position in the league table.
On Saturday they travel to face Mara Sugar away at the Awendo Green Stadium.
