Gor Mahia boasts revamped squad to reclaim top flight title
The 2024/25 season was a disappointing one for K’ogalo, as they failed to defend their championship, a title claimed by Kenya Police for the first time.
They also fell short in the Football Kenya Federation Cup (FKF Cup), which was won by Nairobi United.
Consequently, with the new season approaching, the record champions are determined to bounce back from that poor run and return stronger.
They have already signaled their intent to reclaim the title, making significant moves in the current transfer window.
The club began by overhauling its technical bench, now led by Ghanaian international Charles Akonnor.
He will be assisted by his compatriots Kobi-Mensah Bismark, and goalkeeping coach Ben Owu.

These are some of the most significant moves the team has made so far as they aim to strengthen their squad for the new season, especially after failing also to qualify for any Confederation of African Football tournaments.
