AFC Leopards rising star Kelly Madada has earned a place in the final Harambee Stars squad for the June international friendlies against Lesotho.

Madada, who was outstanding for Ingwe last season in the SportPesa League, played a key role in helping the club emerge as genuine title contenders.

His impressive performances have now been rewarded with a spot in the final squad set to travel to South Africa following changes to the initially planned fixtures due to logistical challenges.

Meanwhile, Benni McCarthy has made two more tweaks to the squad, with Brian Bwire and Amos Nondi also receiving call-ups to replace Job Ochieng, Ryan Ogam, and Byrne Omondi, who will miss the trip.

Others have been retained, including five foreign-based players McCarthy handed debuts to.

Among the standout fresh faces are defender Deon Woodman (Wealdstone FC), winger Sammy Hena-Kamau (Hull City), forward Micah Obiero (Wealdstone FC), defender Sydney Agina (Stoke City), and goalkeeper Caleb Kramer of ADO Den Haag, who earns his maiden senior national team call-up after impressive development in the Netherlands.

The squad also welcomes back sensational defender Eric Ouma, who plays for Ekstraklasa club Rakow Czestochowa. He has now completed his comeback after missing McCarthy’s roster for a stretch due to a long injury layoff.

Kenya had earlier been scheduled to face Palestine and Kyrgyzstan during the FIFA international window.

However, those two matchups have now been replaced, with the national team set to take on Lesotho in a two-legged tie.

The revised fixtures will both be played at the Lucas Moripe Stadium, Pretoria, South Africa, as Harambee Stars continue preparations and build-up activities during the international break.

The first game will be played on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 4PM EAT, with the final game set for Sunday, June 7, 2026, also at 4PM EAT.

The team reports to camp on Monday, June 1st, and will hold a training session in the afternoon before departing for South Africa on Tuesday.

The June international window will give the technical bench another chance to assess the squad as Harambee Stars continue gearing up for upcoming continental assignments.
