Meanwhile, the squad also welcomes back sensational defender Eric Ouma, who resides with Ekstraklasa club Rakow Czestochowa. He has now completed his comeback after missing McCarthy’s roster for a stretch due to a long injury layoff.
Stanley Wilson’s impressive form for AIK Fotboll has earned him a recall, alongside Real Sociedad B Player Job Ochieng, who sustained an injury last time out in the FIFA series in Rwanda. Other familiar faces like Simba’s forward Mohammed Bajaber also make the cut.

The two fixtures lined up in Central Asia are part of the team’s ongoing preparations for the upcoming AFCON 2027 qualifiers.
Kenya has already secured automatic qualification as one of the co-host nations of the Pamoja bid alongside neighbors Uganda and Tanzania.
McCarthy’s charges will first take on the Kyrgyzstan national team on June 3, before facing Palestine on June 6.
Both encounters are expected to give the technical bench another opportunity to evaluate the group and keep fostering cohesion ahead of a packed competitive schedule.
The matchups will provide a solid test for the national side, especially against Kyrgyzstan, who are ranked above Kenya.

Kyrgyzstan currently sit 107th in the FIFA rankings compared to Harambee Stars in 111th place, while Palestine are positioned lower at 202nd.
The draw for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda 2027 Qualifiers will be conducted on Tuesday, 19 May 2026, at the Egyptian Football Association Headquarters (EFA) in Cairo, Egypt. A total of 48 teams, including the three co-hosts, will take part in the qualifiers.
