- The trio have been sensational this season for their respective clubs, with Wangaya and Aroko already winning Player of the Month awards.
Four-time SportPesa League champion Kenneth Muguna has tipped three rising Kenyan international stars to thrive in football in the years ahead.
Muguna, who made history by guiding Kenya Police FC to their first-ever top-flight crown in 24/25, has singled out Kariobangi Sharks’ attacking midfielder Humphrey Aroko, Nairobi United’s sensational Kevin Wangaya, and AFC Leopards’ playmaker Kelly Madada as future untouchable sensations.
“Wangaya, Aroko, Madada ; I have watched them closely and I can confidently say they will be untouchable in the years to come, both at club level and with the national team,” Muguna wrote on his socials.

Former Gor Mahia captain Kenneth Muguna tips Madada, Aroko and Wangaya to become unstoppable
The former Gor Mahia captain’s words of praise come just as the three U20 standout players have been enjoying a fine run in the SportPesa League this season.
Kevin Wangaya has been in the spotlight this term, having joined Nairobi United midway through the season in February. He has already established himself as an electric playmaker under head coach Godfrey Odour.
Since arriving, he has bagged five goals and provided several assists across both the SportPesa League and the FKF Cup.
In addition, the 20-year-old was recently named SportPesa League Player of the Month for April after a sensational run.

During April, the youngster netted three goals against Mara Sugar, Murang’a SEAL, and Mathare United.
On top of that, the Kenya international also racked up four assists, delivering dominant displays across the five matches he featured in and directly contributing to seven points during his team’s push.

Across those five fixtures, Nairobi United did not taste a single defeat.
Wangaya’s efforts secured a point in a 1-1 draw with Mara Sugar, he scored in the thrilling 4-2 comeback win over Murang’a SEAL (adding an assist there too), and also played a key role in the 2-1 victory against Mathare United.
That run added up to three wins and two draws in April.

That’s just a drop in the ocean for a player who has truly been living the dream, anchoring the midfield for Kenya’s U20 “Rising Stars” squad – scoring 4 goals and providing 1 assist in the CECAFA qualifiers to help the country qualify for its first U20 AFCON tournament in 2025.
He also made the U20 Africa Cup of Nations Group Stage Best XI during the 2025 tournament in Egypt and was named Man of the Match in that tourney.
As for Humphrey Aroko, the same could be said. The teenager has been enjoying a brilliant run in the SportPesa League, having already scored a total of 16 goals this season; 10 of them coming from the league, while he netted six in the FKF Cup before his side got eliminated.
On top of that, being a fan favorite, the Kariobangi Sharks youngster was also named SportPesa League Player of the Month for February after an outstanding run of performances that played a key role in lifting his side away from the relegation zone.

Aroko scored two goals and provided two assists in four league matches, while also registering 13 shot attempts and creating five goal-scoring chances.
His contributions were instrumental in helping the team secure vital results during a tense period in the season.
Meanwhile, Kelly Madada has also been one of the standout figures in AFC Leopards’ campaign as the club continues its pursuit of a first league title in more than two decades.

Although his goal tally has been modest, the 20-year-old has still managed to find the back of the net three times this season while continuing to showcase his immense promise. Madada has already earned caps with the Harambee Stars national team, underlining his growing reputation.
Madada’s title hopes for the 2025/26 season remain alive as AFC Leopards continue chasing league leaders Gor Mahia, hoping their rivals slip up in the final three matches of the season while sitting seven points behind them.

As Muguna suggested, Madada, Wangaya, and Aroko are among the few young stars who, if nurtured properly, could become lethal assets for the Kenya national team.
If integrated early enough, they could play a major role ahead of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, which Kenya will co-host alongside Uganda and Tanzania.
