His sharp attacking instincts and eye for goal have made him a key player for the Sharks, while his impressive form in the FKF Cup has further underlined his growing influence at such a young age.

AFC Leopards Chairman Boniface Ambani advises Humphrey Aroko on how to become a more lethal midfielder
Among those who have taken note of Aroko’s progress is AFC Leopards chairman Bonface Ambani, a former striker who enjoyed a successful playing career with Tusker FC, AFC Leopards, Tanzanian giants Young Africans S.C., and the Kenya national team Harambee Stars.
Ambani, known for his sharp attacking instincts during his playing days, offered guidance to the young midfielder after watching him in action against his side asn also during Kariobangi Sharks’ goalless draw against Sportpesa League leaders Gor Mahia.

In a social media remark Ambani praised Aroko’s performance and urged him to improve key aspects of his movement to become a more complete attacking player.
“Good game… watched you in two consecutive matches. All you now need to work on is off-the-ball runs and running behind the defence lines. Try to see how you can create space for yourself. Don’t let defenders mark you. Keep them guessing where you are. Always play on their blind sides… otherwise keep pushing. Age is very much on your side.”
Ambani’s advice reflects the importance of tactical awareness and intelligent movement for attacking midfielders aiming to reach the highest level.

Off-the-ball movement, particularly running behind defensive lines and finding pockets of space, is often what separates promising players from elite performers, and the AFC Leopards chairman believes Aroko has the potential to reach those heights if he continues working on his game.
Aroko’s rise has been one of the standout stories of the current SportPesa League season. His consistency, confidence on the ball, and ability to influence matches have seen him earn recognition beyond his club, including being crowned the SportPesa League Player of the Month for February, making him the youngest player to win the award this season.
