Bidco United finally scored their first-ever goals against Kenya Police FC, ending a long-standing drought between the two sides in the SportPesa League, though they still fell 2–3 to the reigning champions on Wednesday afternoon at the Nyayo National Stadium.
This match marked the ninth encounter between the two sides since Bidco’s promotion to the top tier in 2021.
The Antony Akhulia-led squad had never tasted victory; or even secured a draw, against the Law Enforcers, and had famously failed to score a single goal.

However, that particular jinx was finally broken during a dominant second-half spell.
A goal from Jacob Onyango and an own goal from captain David Cheche brought them level, cancelling out first-half strikes from David Simiyu and Eric Zakayo.
Yet, while they managed to shatter their scoring curse, their winless run against Police continued.
The champions snatched a late winner in the dying moments, with super sub Exauce Misuri netting to give the Dusan Stojanovic charges all three points.
This crucial victory propelled Police into third place on the log with 17 points.

The opening twenty minutes were a cagey affair, with Police breaking the deadlock in the 23rd minute.
A flowing move started with Geoffrey Onyango on the left wing, who surged forward and delivered a cross into the box for David Simiyu to finish for his second goal of the season.
Just after the half-hour mark, the Law Enforcers were forced into an early change when Brian Musa succumbed to an injury, making way for Tobias Otieno.
Otieno made an immediate impact, contributing to a good build-up with Marvin Nabwire that ended with a cross into the box for Eric Zakayo to fire home, doubling Police’s advantage just before halftime.
Bidco created few promising chances in the first period, struggling to break down a resolute Police defense that took a two-goal cushion into the break.
The second half saw Bidco fight their way back into the contest. They had a golden opportunity to reduce the deficit from a Thomas Wainaina free-kick, which forced a save from Job Ochieng and a subsequent clearance from Idriss Amandi.
Jacob Onyango score first ever goal for Bidco against Kenya Police
The turnaround was coming, and it arrived in the 74th minute.
Wainaina delivered a superb volleyed cross into the area, and Jacob Onyango powered a header past Ochieng to score Bidco’s first-ever goal against Police.
The goal sparked chaos, and just one minute after the restart, Police were caught off guard again.
The influential Wainaina surged down the left and sent in another dangerous cross that confused captain David Cheche, who could only turn the ball into his own net, drawing Bidco level.
But it was not over until the final whistle. Police pressed for a winner and found it in the dying minutes.
A good play by Gedeon Muyadi ended with a perfectly chipped in volleyed cross into the box, and Misuri was there to apply the finish, securing the three points and a fourth win for their new head coach.
For the Oilers, their winless run in the SportPesa League extends to five matches.
