KCB VS Police FC
Kenya Police FC climbed to the summit of the FKF Premier League 2024/25 standings after bouncing back to winning form with a hard-fought 1-2 victory over KCB on Saturday afternoon at the SportPesa Grounds in Murang’a County.
The Bankers struck first in the seventh minute through Patrick Otieno, breaking the deadlock early on.
However, the law enforcers drew level shortly after via an own goal from KCB, forced by sustained attacking pressure.

David Simiyu then netted the decisive goal in the second half, sealing the win for Police FC and reigniting their ambitions of claiming the top-flight crown.
This marked their 14th triumph of the campaign, pushing them to the top with 52 points one ahead of Tusker FC, who sit second and await their Sunday showdown with Mathare United.
Meanwhile, Patrick Odhiambo’s KCB slipped to sixth place, overtaken by AFC Leopards who now hold fifth with 41 points.
The Bankers could slide even further if Kakamega Homeboyz emerge victorious in their Sunday clash against Sofapaka.
Posta Rangers vs Murang’a SEAL
Elsewhere, Murang’a SEAL’s struggles to avoid relegation continued to intensify after they succumbed to a dramatic 3-2 defeat against Posta Rangers, conceding two late goals on Saturday afternoon at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
SEAL, who are entrenched in second-last place on the table with just 26 points, believed they had turned the tide after rallying from behind against the hosts.
Vincent Wasambo gave SEAL an early lead in the first half, but Joe Waithira leveled the score for Posta in the second half.
The visitors briefly regained the advantage through Michael Owen, only for Posta to be awarded a penalty, which Felix Olouch confidently converted.
The turnaround was completed when Brian Marita unleashed a thunderous 25-yard strike to secure all three points for the Mailmen.
SEAL are yet to register a victory in 2025, with their last win dating back to December 22, 2024 now marking a 13-match winless streak.
Their newly appointed head coach, Yusuf Chipo, is also yet to deliver a triumph, raising serious relegation fears unless they can gather crucial points from the remaining six fixtures.
Kariobangi Sharks vs Bandari
In Dandora, Kariobangi Sharks were edged out 1-2 by Bandari FC in a tense encounter that saw two red cards for the hosts.
Timothy Ekhavi and head coach William Muluya were both dismissed, and are set to miss the next two matches a significant blow during this critical period.
Steve Mbulere had put the Sharks ahead in the first half, but John Makwata leveled before the interval.
Beja Nyamawi later struck the winner, snapping Bandari’s two-game winless streak.
The victory lifted Ken Odhiambo’s side to eighth place with 39 points, while Sharks dropped to 11th on 32 points, halting their recent momentum.
