The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has organized two friendly matches for Junior Starlets ahead of the final round of the FIFA U17 Girls World Cup qualifier.
Junior Starlets will play the two friendlies against Morocco on April 4 and April 7 in Rabat.
According to a statement issued by FKF, both encounters will start at exactly 9 PM East African Time (EAT).

Junior Starlets head coach Mildred Cheche has stated that the two clashes will give the team an opportunity to gauge their preparations for the last round of the World Cup qualifier.
“These matches will give us a perfect chance to assess our readiness and expose the girls to top-level competition,” she was quoted by the FKF website.
Junior Starlets, who picked up a 5-0 aggregate victory of Uganda in the third round of the qualifiers, are set to face West African powerhouse Cameroon in the last round.
The two fixtures are expected to be held on April 20 and April 25 at the Nyayo National Stadium and Stade Olembe respectively.

Sports CS Salim Mvurya assures Junior Starlets support
The Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports Salim Mvurya paid a courtesy call to the team.
Mvurya promised that the government will support Junior Starlets to ensure they do well in the upcoming showdown.
“This team, Starlets, U17 have been doing very well. In the last matches that they played, they played very impressively and we came here this evening to talk to them, to inspire them and to assure them that the government of Kenya will continue to support them as they go for friendlies and prepare for a match against Cameroon.
On behalf of the government of Kenya, we are fully behind the Starlets. We are also inspired and motivated because this is a team that is playing very well, disciplined, and skillful,” he explained.

Should Junior Starlets overpower Cameroon, who secured a 6-3 aggregate win over Ethiopia in their last round, they will book a ticket to the prestigious FIFA U17 Girls World Cup tournament for the second time in a row.
Junior Starlets made history last year by qualifying for the prestigious event that was held in the Dominican Republic.
The 2025 FIFA U17 Girls World Cup tournament shall take place in Morocco between Thursday, October 17 and Sunday, November 8.
