Three matches for the Football Kenya Federation 2024/25 season are scheduled for Saturday during match week 25, as Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos hosts a thrilling doubleheader.
The top flight resumed action on Friday after a two-week international break, with two matches already played.
FC Talanta triumphed over Sofapaka 2-0 at the Dandora Stadium, with Bernard Odhiambo and Emmanuel Osoro, who scored his tenth goal of the season, finding the net.
The second match saw Mathare United host Mara Sugar, where Mathare staged a comeback to beat the Millers 2-1 and leap into the top ten.
Bidco Vs Tusker
The highly anticipated match on Saturday will see Bidco United face off against Tusker at the Kenyatta Stadium (4 PM), a contest that promises to be a crucial battle for the top spot and a tense fight to avoid relegation.
After enduring five matches without a win, which had seen them flounder at the top of the table and endure a frustrating FKF Cup elimination by Nairobi United, the Brewers returned to winning ways by beating Posta Rangers 2-1 at Dandora Stadium before the break.
Charles Okere’s side will be eager to build on that victory as they chase three points that could propel them to the summit of the table.
They are currently one point behind log leaders Kenya Police (45 points), with 44 points, and look to extend their lead over third-placed Gor Mahia (42 points).

On the other hand, Bidco United, with ten matches remaining, are treating every match as a final.
Sitting in 17th place with 23 points, they are in the relegation zone. A win would see them rise two spots and escape the threat of relegation.
Bidco has struggled for form this season, havingg won just four of their 24 matches so far.
However, the Oilers are unbeaten in their last three league outings (1W, 2 D), which has lifted the players’ morale.
Additionally, they recently qualified for the FKF Cup round of 16.
This encounter is expected to be a fiery contest, as both teams fight for survival in the top flight or to secure a position outside the relegation zone.
Nairobi City Stars vs Kariobangi Sharks
Before that clash, the stadium will host the first match of the day, as Nairobi City Stars take on Kariobangi Sharks at 1:00 PM.
Both teams have been underperforming this season. Nairobi City Stars, currently at the bottom of the table, have won only once in their last 13 matches, leaving them in 18th place with 22 points.
Since Salim Babu took charge, the team has only managed one win. They enter this match on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Sofapaka just before the international break.
Meanwhile, Kariobangi Sharks are also not entirely safe from relegation, as they currently sit just five points above City Stars in 13th place.
The Sharks returned to winning form before the break with a 3-1 victory over Mathare United at Dandora Stadium.
William Muluya’s side will aim to build on that success as they look to distance themselves from the relegation battle.
