Rugby fans will have an opportunity to see their favorite teams battle it out for glory in the Kenya Cup in different parts of the country this weekend.

Some of the notable fixtures that will be on offer include the clash between KCB Rugby and a strong Kenya Harlequin side and the crunch encounter pitting an unbeaten Menengai Oilers side against Nondies.

KCB rugby, who occupy the second spot in the standings with 30 points, are set to lock horns with Kenya Harlequin at the KCB Sports Club from 4 PM East African (EAT) time while Menengai Oilers travel to play Nondies.

The fixture between Nondies and Menengai Oilers is also scheduled to take place at 4 PM at the Nakuru ASK Showground.

KCB Rugby have made a couple of changes from their squad that secured  a huge 55-0 victory over varsity side Kenyatta University (KU) Blak Blad last weekend in the Thika Road Derby.

The Bankers head coach Oliver Mang’eni has replaced Griffin Musila and Nick Okullo with Fidel Maina and Patrick Ouko respectively in his starting lineup.

In addition, Mang’eni has introduced Andycole Omolo in place of Elvis Olukusi with the former set to work together with Emmanuel Silungi in the second row.

Nondies make four changes

On the other hand, Nondies who currently sit fourth in the Kenya Cup log with 27 points, have also made changes to their team that narrowly squeezed past Impala RFC with a 24-20 win.

The quartet of Boniface Ochieng, Brian Amaitsa, Moses Begi and Dominic Osino have been dropped with Zachary Marowa, Tony Owour, Sankara Wafula and Salem Adoyo replacing them.

Nondies will be seeking to win seven matches in a row while the hosts go into the match with the hopes of extending their unbeaten streak.

In other matches, Impala will play Strathmore Leos at the Impala Club while leaders Kabras RFC are scheduled to face off with KU Blak Blad at the Kakamega ASK showground. The two matches are planned to start at 4 PM and 2 PM respectively.

Finally, Kisumu RFC are set to host Mwamba RFC at the Mamboleo ASK Showground with the match kicking off at 2 PM while bottom-placed side Nakuru RFC  will travel to Diani to play South Coast Pirates. This game is expected to start at 4 PM.
