RS Berkane target Harambee Stars striker Moses Shumah
The 24-year-old joined Power Dynamos at the start of the just concluded season from Sportpesa League side Kakamega Homeboyz and he wasted no time adapting to life outside Kenya. The striker hit the ground running with impressive displays in front of goal, quickly becoming a key figure in Power Dynamos’ title-winning squad.
Shumah played a leading role as Power Dynamos clinched their second consecutive Zambian Super League title and secured qualification for the CAF Champions League for the second straight season.
His clinical finishing, intelligent movement inside the box and consistency throughout the campaign made him one of the standout performers in the league.
The former Kakamega Homeboyz striker finished the season as the Zambian Super League Golden Boot winner after netting 21 goals in just 25 matches.
His sharp eye for goal and ability to deliver in crucial fixtures earned him admiration from fans, teammates and rival clubs alike with him now being likened to Zesco United legendary striker Jesse Were who is also a Kenyan.
Before his move to Zambia, Shumah had already announced himself as one of Kenya’s finest strikers after winning the 2024/25 SportPesa League Golden Boot with 17 goals for Kakamega Homeboyz. Replicating the same form in a different league has further strengthened his growing reputation across the continent.
His brilliant performances also saw him sweep major awards at the Power Dynamos end-of-season gala. Shumah was crowned Top Scorer, Fans’ Player of the Year and Club Footballer of the Year, underlining the impact he has made during his first season at the club.

Despite still having one year remaining on his contract with Power Dynamos, the striker is attracting serious interest from several clubs across Africa. Apart from RS Berkane, top clubs from Tanzania and South Africa are also keeping tabs on the Harambee Stars forward, with offers reportedly being prepared ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
RS Berkane’s interest could however prove significant given the club’s stature in African football and their regular participation in continental competitions. The Moroccan side is keen on strengthening its attacking department and views Shumah as a striker capable of delivering goals consistently at the highest level.
With the transfer window fast approaching, all eyes will now be on Power Dynamos and whether they will be willing to part ways with their star forward after an unforgettable
season in Zambia.
