The women’s national 15s side, Kenya Lionesses, bagged their second victory at the ongoing 2026 Rugby Africa Women’s Cup after bulldozing Madagascar 57-0 on Wednesday afternoon at the RFUEA Grounds in Nairobi.
The Lionesses needed nothing but to maintain their hot streak after they kicked off with a perfect start on Saturday, toppling regional rivals Uganda Lady Cranes 43-10.
They did not disappoint in the second match, setting up a thrilling encounter that will be a final against South Africa on Sunday.

Kenya were off the mark just two minutes into the game and managed to grab a 5-0 lead through Nelly Shikombe, who sliced through the left-wing defense, though Sinaida Mokaya missed the conversion.
Four minutes later, the Simon Odongo charges extended their advantage to 12-0 with a fine try on the right wing, where Stellah Wafula broke through and dotted the ball down close to the posts -a position from which Mokaya successfully converted to assert their dominance.
The Ladies Makis controlled the game for at least the next ten minutes, and the pressure of the contest saw Kenya Lionesses reduced to 14 players on the field after Naomi Jelagat was sent to the sin bin for 10 minutes.
But her absence was not felt too much, because while she was in the bin, Kenya 7s star Shelia Chajira made it 17-0, with Mokaya missing the extras.
That try was followed a few minutes later by a solid maul from Kenya, which saw Faith Livoi on the board, making it 22-0.
Before the break, Mokaya added three points from a well-taken penalty conversion, and Kenya went into halftime leading 25-0.
Just like the first half, the second was equally electric, and the Lionesses roared immediately with a try by Freshia Odour from a clever offload by Maureen Muruti to make it 30-0.
Odour then grabbed her second a few minutes later, stretching the lead to 35-0.
The Lionesses did not tire; they kept piling on the pressure because points are crucial heading into the final match, where they will face Bok Womes.
Debutant Knight Otuoma was the next player to get on the scoresheet with a try of her own from a strong maul, pushing the lead to 40-0.
Muruti then became another player to join the party with a personal try, spotting space on the left wing and shredding the Malagasy defense to make it 47-0 after converting it herself.
That was followed by a nice try from Chajira, who grabbed her second of the day for a 52-0 lead.
In the final minutes, the Lionesses shut the door with a good driving maul in the right corner, adding five more points through Edith Nariaka for the final try as Kenya Lionesses managed to set up a cracking last match against the Bok Women.
That encounter will determine the winner, as the Lionesses will go in on top thanks to a superior points difference of 90 compared to South Africa’s 86. Thus, the Lionesses will be hoping to protect that lead to become only the second side to ever win the cup.
Uganda Lady Cranes and Madagascar also have work to do, because the loser of that final match on Sunday will face some challenges to go relegation.
