Liverpool are looking to bounce back to winning ways when they host struggling Chelsea in Saturday’s early kick off English Premier League fixture.
The reds were on a three-game winning streak before losing 3-2 to Manchester United last time out. This result leaves them in fourth place with 58 points, with only three games left to play.
They host a managerless Chelsea side who have lost their last six straight Premier League matches. From a potential top four spot three months ago, they now sit in ninth place with 48 points – ten adrift of the top five.
The Blues need to fix their defensive issues if they are to avoid a seventh straight league defeat for the first time since 1952. Their last match ended in a 3-1 home defeat against Nottingham Forest despite them finally breaking their goal drought.
Moises Caicedo and Estevao were both on target as Chelsea beat Liverpool 2-1 in the reverse fixture last October, though a win here seems almost impossible for the Blues.

The reds are not expected to make any changes to the side that lost to United, with Alexander Isak expected to feature from the bench.
Alisson is still a doubt for the hosts and Frederick Woodman could start in between the sticks. The four-man defensive lineup will remain the same as it has been almost all season with Virgil Van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate at the heart of it.
Cody Gakpo and Florian Wirtz will retain their starting roles, as Dominic Szoboszlai starts in midfield after getting a goal and assist in the last match.
The visiting Chelsea cannot change much in terms of personnel, though Philip Jorgensen is expected to replace an injured Robert Sanchez in goal.
Enzo Fernandez seemed most likely to score against Nottingham and will start alongside Cole Palmer and Andrey Santos in midfield.
Joao Pedro’s stunning bicycle kick goal was enough to earn him a Puskas nomination but it was too little too late against Nottingham. The Brazilian forward will lead the Blues attacking line.
