The race for the English Premier League title continues in round 36 with leaders Arsenal looking to inch closer to a first title since 2004.
The Gunners (76) come into the match day leading Manchester City by five points (71) with only three games left to play. Pep Guardiola’s side failed to capitalize after being held to a frustrating 3-3 draw away at Everton on Monday.
At the opposite end of the table there is also a battle to avoid relegation, with West Ham (36) currently occupying the final drop spot. The Hammers host the league leaders in what promises to be a blockbuster of an encounter.
Tottenham (37) climbed out of the relegation zone after back-to-back wins against already relegated Wolves and Aston Villa. Spurs will host Leeds hoping to make it three consecutive wins for the first time this year.

Here we have a look at some of the top games scheduled to be played in round 36 and offer our predicted outcome.

Sunderland vs Manchester United – Saturday, 5PM – Stadium of Light
The Black Cats are without a win in their last three Premier League games, most recently battling to a 1-1 draw away at Wolves. They are in 12th place with 47 points, with a win potentially lifting them into the top eight.
They face a third place United side who are seeking a fourth consecutive league win. Michael Carrick’s side were 3-2 winners against Liverpool last weekend to confirm their place in next season’s Champions League.
Mason Mount and Benjamin Sesko scored as United beat Sunderland 2-0 in the reverse fixture last October. The pair will both feature here as well.
The last time Sunderland beat United was in 2016 and they will be confident that they can avoid defeat here.

Manchester City vs Brentford – Saturday, 7:30PM – Etihad Stadium
The Premier League title hopefuls will be fully focused here after that six-goal thriller at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Monday. City must win if they are to keep their hopes of yet another title alive.
The draw halted an impressive six-game winning streak for Guardiola’s side, who now trail Arsenal by five points.
They face a Brentford side who snapped a seven-game winless run with an emphatic 3-0 win against West Ham last time out. The Bees are in seventh place with 51 points and still within reach of a European spot next season.

Crystal Palace vs Everton – Sunday, 4PM – Selhurst Park
Palace are buzzing after securing their first ever place in a European final after beating Shakhtar Donetsk 5-2 over two legs in the Conference League semis. They return to domestic football where they have not won a game in their last three.
Back-to-back defeats to Liverpool and Bournemouth leaves them in 15th place with 43 points. They take on an Everton side who are also on a poor run of form – winless in their last four league games, most recently getting a point in a six-game thriller against Man City.
Everton are in 10th place with 48 points and can still dream of a crack at European football next season, especially if they can get all three points here. The Toffees already beat Palace 2-1 in the reverse fixture courtesy of goals from now injured Jack Grealish and Ilman Ndiaye.

Everton have not lost to Palace in either of their last 10 head-to-head matches. This gives them an edge despite being away from home.

Nottingham vs Newcastle – Sunday, 4PM – City Ground
Nottingham’s 10-game unbeaten run was ended brutally with a 4-0 defeat to Aston Villa, knocking them out of the Europa League semis in midweek. They switch their focus back to the league, where they have won their last three games.
Vitor Pereira’s charges are in 16th place with 42 points, six away from the dreaded relegation zone. They face a Newcastle side who they have never beaten at home in the Premier League.
Newcastle snapped a four-game losing run in the league to beat Brighton 3-1 in their last outing. The Magpies are in 13th with 45 points.
Newcastle have won all of the last five games they have played against Nottingham, including a 2-0 victory in the reverse fixture last December. However, the hosts are tipped as favorites to finally break that duck here with the type of form they are in.

West Ham vs Arsenal – Sunday, 6:30PM – London Stadium
This London derby has direct permutations on both ends of the table with West Ham needing a win to move out of the relegation zone. For Arsenal, a win here will put at least one hand on that elusive Premier League trophy.

The Hammers are coming off a demoralizing 3-0 defeat to Brentford, leaving them in 18th place with 36 points. At the top, Arsenal are five points clear of City and defeat here may see them finish the weekend with just a two-point advantage with two games left to play.
West Ham can find solace in the fact that they have beaten Arsenal twice in the last five head-to-head matches, losing the remaining three. The Gunners were 2-0 winners when they last met in the league last October.
We can expect West Ham to give Arsenal a run for their money, with goals being the most probable option to place a wager on.
