After three months without a win,the club legend has led the team to two consecutive wins.

Meanwhile, Shabana continued their resurgence at the Gusii Stadium, where Wycliffe Omondi’s heroic performance proved to be the difference against Murang’a Seal while at Nyayo Stadium, AFC Leopards narrowed the gap with league leaders Gor Mahia to four points.

Abonga produced a decent performance at the heart of the Soldiers’ defense helping them secure a well needed win and cleansheet.

The leftback was a revelation during the goalless stalemate against Nairobi United. Buleti managed 5 interceptions and 6 clearances and won four balls ensuring his side secured a hard-earned point in the fight against relegation.

Mulu stood tall in the Dockers’ narrow win over Bidco United. He stayed solid defensively with 5 clearances and remained a threat going forward, completing 3 successful crosses from the flank to be named in the team of the week for the first time this season.

Midfield – Rowland Makati – KCB (7.4)

Makati helped safeguard the Bankers’ interests with a decisive performance against Mara Sugar. He scored the lone goal of the match and won 4 balls to return KCB to winning ways.

Kinyanjui was the creative spark for Ingwe in their vital 1-0 win over Kariobangi Sharks. He provided the winning assist for Tyson Otieno’s goal and delivered 7 crosses, keeping AFC Leopards firmly in the title hunt.

As it stands, the SportPesa League table is currently led by record champions Gor Mahia, who maintain a solid lead at the summit with 56 points from 25 matches.

Their closest challengers, AFC Leopards, have closed the gap to four points following their Round 26 victory, sitting in second place with 52 points.

Forward – Abdallah Hassan – Bandari (7.8)

Hassan led the line with great intensity for the Dockers. He was a constant outlet for his team, providing consistent pressure and creative delivery that eventually tore down the Bidco United defense.

In the 60th minute,Ugandan forward William Wadri rose highest to head home Abdalla Hassan’s pinpoint cross, sealing all three points for the coastal side against the oilmen.

Forward – Paul Okoth – Ulinzi Stars (7.7)

The forward is finding his best form at the right time for the Soldiers. Okoth bagged a brace, recorded 5 touches in the opposition box, and maintained a 75% shot accuracy to sink Sofapaka helping the soldiers climb out of the relegation zone.

Okoth has now scored twelve goals,three shy of League topscorer Joe Waithira.
