Azam FC midfielder and Tanzanian international Feisal Salum, popularly known as Fei Tot, has urged Tanzanians living in Kenya to turn out in large numbers and support them when they face Nairobi United in the CAF Confederation Cup Group Stage clash scheduled for Sunday 25th January at Nyayo National Stadium.
The highly anticipated encounter, set to kick off at 4:00 PM, pits two regional rivals against each other in what promises to be a fiercely contested affair.
With both Kenya and Tanzania sharing a long footballing rivalry, the stakes are high for both sides as they search for their first win of the group stage.

Toto rallies Tanzanians in Kenya ahead of Azam FC clash against Nairobi United
Speaking ahead of the match, Fei Toto acknowledged the pressure that comes with facing a neighboring country but insisted that Azam FC are fully prepared for the challenge.
The former Young Africans SC midfielder emphasized the importance of fan support, particularly from Tanzanians based in Kenya.
“There is pressure because we know each other and we are neighbours, so it won’t be an easy match. It will be a tough one, but as players we are ready for it. I am calling upon Tanzanians who are in Kenya to come out and support us in this match because having them in the stands gives us more strength to fight. I plead with them to come and support us because their presence will give us the motivation we need,” said Salum.

Fei Toto is one of the most experienced players in the Azam FC squad and comes into the match fresh from featuring for Tanzania at the AFCON 2025 tournament. Despite his pedigree on the continental stage, the creative midfielder insists that his experience does not add pressure but instead serves as motivation to deliver for his club.
“For me, it is a morale booster rather than pressure. As a player, I have to fight for my team so that we can get good results. When we achieve positive results in a match like this, it gives us confidence going into the next games. Right now, our focus is fully on this match,” he added.

Azam FC and Nairobi United are both yet to register a win in this season’s CAF Confederation Cup Group Stage, making today’s fixture crucial for their hopes of progressing further in the competition.
A positive result could provide the momentum needed to revive their campaigns and boost confidence heading into the remaining group matches.

For Nairobi United, playing at home offers an added advantage, but they will be wary of Azam FC’s continental experience and individual quality, particularly in midfield where Fei Toto is expected to play a key role.
With regional pride, vital points, and passionate fan support all at stake, the stage is set for an intense East African derby at Nyayo Stadium as both sides battle for their first victory of the group stage.
