Mathare United

Struggling Ulinzi Stars have an uphill task ahead of them when they host Murang’a Seal at the Ulinzi Complex on Sunday.

Ulinzi have only won one of their last seven games, leaving them two spots above the relegation zone in 14th with 17 points.

They host a Murang’a side who are currently on the best run of any SportPesa League team, winning four of their last five games. The Osborne Monday coached side have lost once in 12 matches.

Victory for seventh-place Murang’a here could see them finish the weekend in the top five, depending on other results.

The hosts are coming off a 1-0 defeat to Mathare United in their last outing, while Murang’a beat Bidco United 2-1 to bounce back from a narrow defeat to league leaders Gor Mahia.

Paul Okoth has come alive for the hosts in recent weeks, most recently scoring a hat-trick in the 3-0 win against Posta Rangers. The forward will lead the attacking line for the soldiers.

Masita Masuta is fit to start here, alongside Boniface Muchiri in the midfield.

The rest of the side will remain unchanged from their starting XI in last week’s defeat to Mathare United.

Ulinzi vs Murang’a prediction

The visitors seem the obvious pick to avoid defeat here, judging by their recent impressive run that has seen them lose once in 12 games.

However, this partivular tie has been a closely contested battle in recent seasons, with few goals in all but one fixture. We can expect that trend to continue here.

Prediction – Under 2.5 goals provides a good option for punters.
