Gor Mahia dominate SportPesa League Round 6 Team of the Week with 5 players as Tusker trio make the cut

SportPesa League leaders Gor Mahia travel to Bidco United on Saturday afternoon looking to maintain their stay on top of the table.

Gor lead the standings with 33 points, level with AFC Leopards, after a convincing 3-0 victory over Mara Sugar last time out. This stretched their unbeaten run to six games.

They face a Bidco side who have not won a single match in their last 12 fixtures. The dismal run leaves them in 15th place with 15 points.

Bidco lost 2-1 to Murang’a Seal in their last encounter. They will need to be at their best if they are to better their tally of two points from their last five SL games.

Gor will have their 1-0 defeat to Bidco last time the sides met fresh in their minds, seeking a revenge win that would keep alive their hopes of a record-extending 22nd title.

The Charles Akonnor-coached side has scored 11 goals in their last five matches, the best scoring run in the league. However, only three of the last 11 head-to-head matches has produced over 2.5 goals.
