Gor Mahia coach Charles Akonnor has provided an injury update on Felix Olouch after the forward was substituted in the second half during Sunday’s match against Mara Sugar at Nyayo Stadium.
Oluoch was replaced just after halftime by Christopher Ochieng, having signaled that he was in too much pain to continue.
His withdrawal came despite a promising performance, which included opening the scoring for Gor Mahia with a neat tap-in from Paul Ochouga’s cross. The team went on to secure a 3-0 victory, taking them to the top of the table.

Gor Mahia coach provides injury update on Felix Oluoch
Speaking to Azama TV after the match, the Ghanaian tactician revealed that Oluoch had been carrying a minor injury since the Kariobangi Sharks fixture, where he was named among the substitutes.
The club had been managing the issue, but it worsened on Sunday, prompting the change.
He (Oluoch) has picked up an injury that we have been managing. When we played Sharks, he didn’t start and was on the bench. Today, he signaled that the pain was too much, and that’s why we had to take him out,” Akonnor explained.

The 26-year-old forward joined the record champions this season after an impressive spell with Posta Rangers last term.
So far, the center-forward is the club’s leading scorer, having netted seven of their 25 goals in the first leg of the SportPesa League 25/26.

His tally includes a match-winning debut goal against KCB FC, his first strike in Gor Mahia colors, followed by another against his former side, Posta Rangers.
He also found the net against Ulinzi Stars and reigning champions Kenya Police FC, came off the bench to score against Kariobangi Sharks, and netted a crucial equalizer against Murang’a SEAL in a 3–2 win, before adding another against Mara Sugar.

Oluoch now sits just two goals behind the league’s top scorer, Ulinzi Stars’ in-form Paul Okoth, who has nine. Murang’a SEAL striker Joe Waithira follows with eight.
His closest challenger within K’Ogalo is Ghanaian Ebenezer Aduk-waw, who has five goals, while SportPesa League Player of the Month for October, Shariff Musa, has three.

They currently sit at the summit with 33 points, level with AFC Leopards, in their bid to reclaim the title this season.
