- Gor Mahia beat Mathare United 0-2 to win their fourth consecutive SportPesa League 2025/26 match.
- The match was staged at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, on Thursday, October 30.
- Sharrif Musa and Bryson Wangai scored the second-half goals to hand Gor Mahia not only a win but also their fourth clean sheet of the season.
Musa Shariff’s first goal of the season proved to be important not only for him but also for Gor Mahia who secured their fourth SportPesa League win with a comfortable 0-2 victory over Mathare United.
In the clash staged at the Moi International Sports Centre in Kasarani, Musa’s early second half strike and a late Bryson Wangai goal sealed all three points that took K’Ogalo to second on the standings on 12 points, just one behind leaders Kakamega Homeboyz.

After a slow start, the first clearest chance came in the 13th minute but Cameroon international Patrick Essombe failed to score in an opportunity that was harder to miss.
The diminutive Shariff Musa drove to the byline and fizzed in a cross from the left after beating his markers but Essombe, with the keeper well taken out of his stride, made a poor connection as his touch veered off target much to the surprise of everyone.

Gor picked themselves up and could have made a mark on the scoreboard four minutes later but Essombe was once again in the way of things.
This time he blocked Austine Odhiambo’s low shot that was on its way to the net after colliding with Mathare keeper Kevin Ouru.
Essombe was proving to be a nuisance for the Mathare backline but his finishing just let him down as he was a third time unlucky not to even hit the target despite wriggling past four defenders.

The half time break seemed to have come at the right time for Gor who only needed three minutes to take a deserved lead as Musa got on the end of an inch-perfect cross from Paul Ochuoga to give his side the lead.
Down the right flank, Ochuoga found himself in acres of space and he found Musa who needed only one touch in finding the back of the net.
That goal pumped wind into the Gor Mahia sails as their confidence grew, stringing possession comfortably with Mathare trying to get back.
Wangai proved to be a super substitute with a late composed strike that sealed the win.
