Kenyan midfielder Tyler Onyango featured for the entire 90 minutes as Stockport County FC continued their impressive run in English League One with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Exeter City at Edgeley Park on Saturday evening.
Onyango, who is currently on loan from English Premier League side Everton played a key role in the midfield, displaying composure and maturity beyond his years as County registered yet another win to extend their unbeaten run in October.

The result leaves Stockport just a single point behind table-topping Cardiff City in what has been a promising start to their League One campaign.
The decisive moment came in the 23rd minute when Nathan Lowe rose highest to meet Ollie Norwood’s perfectly delivered short corner, powering home a bullet header that proved to be the difference between the two sides.
The goal marked Lowe’s fifth of the season and secured County’s fourth consecutive league win over Exeter, underlining their growing dominance in this fixture.
The game had started 15 minutes late following the delayed arrival of Exeter’s team bus, but the Hatters showed no signs of disruption.
Head coach Dave Challinor made two changes from their previous outing against Blackpool, bringing in Callum Connolly and Tyler Onyango for Brad Hills and Corey O’Keeffe.
Onyango slotted seamlessly into midfield, linking up well with Norwood and Bailey, helping County control possession and dictate the tempo of play.

Exeter had a few moments of danger, with Reece Cole testing County goalkeeper Ben Hinchliffe early on, but the hosts were largely in control.
Onyango’s ability to recover possession and his positional awareness stood out throughout the contest, allowing County to transition quickly into attack.
In the second half, Exeter pushed for an equalizer, with Ilmari Niskanen and Josh Magennis both coming close, but Connolly’s crucial goal-line clearance ensured the Hatters maintained their lead.
Onyango remained disciplined and energetic until the final whistle, contributing both defensively and offensively in a balanced midfield performance.
The match ended with Stockport County 1, Exeter City 0, as Onyango completed yet another full game, continuing to impress the coaching staff.
His consistent performances have strengthened his case as one of the brightest Harambee Stars prospects abroad, with his development at Stockport likely to play a vital role in his future return to Everton and potential inclusion in Kenya’s senior national team setup.
