Kenya Rugby Sevens

The Kenya rugby sevens team is a major force in men’s international rugby. They compete in the World Rugby Sevens Series, Olympic Games, Rugby World Cup Sevens and Commonwealth Games. Kenya won its first World Rugby Sevens Series tournament in 2016 at the Singapore Sevens. The team made its first appearance in rugby competitions in 2001.

Kenya Rugby Sevens, also referred as Shujaa, is governed by the Kenya Rugby Union. The Kenya national rugby team has won the men’s team of the year award for a record of six times at the Kenyan Sports Personality Awards. It is one of the most successful sporting teams in Kenya. Collins Injera holds records for most caps (79), top scorer (1,443 points), and most tries (279).
