Kabeberi 7s 2025 pools

The pools for the Kabeberi 7s marking the penultimate outing of the 2025 SportPesa National Sevens Circuit taking place from 6-7 September have been announced. The biggest surprise will see Nondies missing out on top-flight action as they suffered relegation to Division 2 following their disappointing 14th place finish in Embu.

The Ben Nyambu-coached side thus needed an invitation to maintain their Division 1 status, but hosts Mwamba did not come to their rescue, instead issuing invitations to Mombasa, Impala, and Kisumu RFC.

Pool A will be headlined by current leaders KCB who will be joined by Nakuru, surprise packages Mean Machine and Mombasa. Machine made their invite to the Embu 7s count as they stayed in the top 12 teams to retain their Division 1 status. Embu was the first time they were playing in Division 1 in the 2025 SportPesa 7s Circuit.

Pool B has the impressive Strathmore Leos who stunned KCB to win their second title this season in Embu. They will come up against Kenya Harlequin, Mwamba and Impala.

Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST), Daystar Falcons, Catholic Monks are in Pool C alongside Homeboyz who were promoted after winning the Division 2 title in Embu.

Menengai Oilers, Kabras Sugar, Embu and Kisumu are in Pool D.
