SportPesa Blog takes a look at three Harambee Stars players to watch out for at the CHAN 2024 tournament which will be held between Saturday, August 2 and Saturday, August 30, 2025.
Player to watch at CHAN 2024: Mohammed Bajaber
Mohammed Bajaber is one of the most talented players in the Harambee Stars CHAN 2024 squad.
Bajaber, who was born on March 15, 2003, can play on the wing and as an attacking midfielder, making him an important member of the team.

The Kenya Police FC player scored his first ever goal for Harambee Stars in the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifier clash against the Gambia in March this year and since then, he has earned regular call ups to the team.
Bajaber, who played an influential role in Kenya Police FC’S Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League triumph a few weeks ago, has had to overcome a minor injury ahead of CHAN 2024.
His footballing intelligence, pace and eye for the goal will cause a lot of problems to Harambee Stars’ opponents at the CHAN 2024.
Player to watch at CHAN 2024: Ryan Ogam
Like Bajaber, Ryan Ogam also has a fascinating tale of meteoric rise in the competitive Kenyan football industry.
Ogam, whose 2024/2025 FKF Premier League campaign was negatively affected by injuries, finished third in the golden boot race with 15 goals despite missing many games.

Having been tipped to become one of the best goal poachers in the country by McCarthy, the Tusker FC player is expected to lead the Harambee Stars attack in the CHAN 2024 tournament.
His powerful shots and hard work on and off the ball makes him a threat to Kenyan CHAN 2024 opponents.
Player to watch at CHAN 2024: Austin Odhiambo
Finally, Gor Mahia FC midfielder Austin Odhiambo is another exciting Kenyan talent that is expected to light up the CHAN 2024 tournament.
Odhiambo, who was a joy to watch in Gor Mahia’s midfield last season, has got almost everything in his locker.
He can score goals, provide assists and his calmness especially when under pressure has made many football supporters fall in love with him.

The skillful ace believes the CHAN 2024 event will offer Harambee Stars players a platform to showcase their abilities.
“For me, I think it’s a good challenge and an opportunity for the players who will represent our country.
Big players look forward to big matches, and facing Morocco and DRC—those are the kind of games people want to play in. So for me, I believe this is a great opportunity for Kenyan players to showcase their skills,” he told SportPesa Blog.
Odhiambo, who will celebrate his 26th birthday on December 16, is expected to be the main source of creativity for Harambee Stars in CHAN 2024.
