The East African moment is finally here! Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania are gearing up to host the historic CHAN 2024 tournament from Saturday, August 2 to Saturday, August 30, 2025.

From the region’s main business hub Nairobi to the beautiful, coastal city of Dar es Salaam, East Africa is about to explode with CHAN 2024 fever!

The Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani Stadium (Nairobi, Kenya)

The Moi International Sports Centre (MISC) Kasarani Stadium is a multipurpose sporting facility that is located in Nairobi, Kenya.

CHAN 2024

The stadium, which has undergone extensive renovations, will host all Group A matches as well as the final.

The Nyayo National Stadium (Nairobi, Kenya)

Similar to the MISC Kasarani Stadium, the Nyayo National Stadium is also located in Kenya’s capital city Nairobi.

A lot of renovations work has been done at the Nyayo National Stadium to ensure it meets the required standards.

The facility, which is a walking distance from Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD), will be the main operational center for CAF during the CHAN 2024 tournament.

With a reduced capacity of 18000, the Nyayo National Stadium will host a number of Group fixtures.

Amaan Stadium (Zanzibar, Tanzania)

Nestled in the breath-taking city of Zanzibar, the Amaan Stadium will host all the CHAN 2024 Group D games.

Some of the African nations that will play their matches at the stadium which has a capacity of approximately 15,000 include Senegal, Sudan and Nigeria.

The Amaan Stadium was constructed in 1970, with the Chinese government playing a crucial role.

Mandela National Stadium (Kampala, Uganda)

The Mandela National Stadium, also known as Namboole, is the biggest stadium in Uganda.

The stadium, which is domiciled in Kampala, has a capacity of between 38,000 and 45,000. It will host several group matches as well as the third-place play off showdown.

CHAN 2024

Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium (Dar es Salaam, Tanzania)

The Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium is one of the biggest and famous sporting facilities in the East African region.

With an estimated capacity of 60,000, the facility is home to Tanzania’s national football team, nicknamed the Taifa Stars.

It is also home ground for arch-rivals Yanga SC and Simba SC, two of the best clubs in East Africa.

CHAN 2024

Lastly, the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium will host the CHAN 2024 Group B matches as well as the opening game on Sunday, August 2, 2025.
