Clubs looking to secure the services of Moses Shumah and lure him away from Kenyan Premier League giants Kakamega Homeboyz will have to part with a significant sum, according to club chairman Cleophas Shimanyula, who has revealed the striker’s new market value.
The sensational forward emerged as the top scorer in the 2024/25 Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League season, notching an impressive 17 goals, narrowly edging out FC Talanta’s Emmanuel Osoro by a single strike to claim the Golden Boot.
Renowned for his clinical finishing, the Kenyan international has attracted attention from multiple suitors.
Reports suggest that newly-crowned Zambian champions Power Dynamos are keen to secure his signature ahead of their CAF Champions League campaign next season.

Shumah 22, played a pivotal role in Kakamega Homeboyz’s successful season, helping the club finish third place on the table with 58 points.
Due to his stellar performance, the club has significantly raised his transfer fee. Chairman Shimanyula has set a new valuation of Ksh15 million, up from the previous Ksh10 million.
The price last time was Ksh10 million but now, it is Ksh15 million because he has finished the season as top scorer,” Shimanyula told Pulse Sports.
While Power Dynamos lead the chase for the talismanic striker, Shimanyula confirmed that other clubs are also in contention.
We want people to know that important things are coming from here. It is not just Dynamos who are interested, even Zesco United want him and there is a team from South Africa. However, Dynamos are the ones who are the most serious,” he added.

Moses Shumah joined the Kakamega-based side in 2022, and his blistering form has previously caught the eye of Gor Mahia, Kenya’s record champions. However, a deal never materialized due to the high asking price.
