The Twiga Stars, as they are popularly known, have secured huge wins in all their matches. They demolished Burundi, Uganda and South Sudan 6-0, 2-0, and 4-0 in that order.

Like Tanzania, the Harambee Starlets of Kenya have also had an excellent 2025 CECAFA Senior Women’s Championship campaign so far, beating teams left, right and centre.

The Beldine Odemba coached side hammered Burundi 3-0 in their opening match before walloping defending champions Uganda 4-0.

They then went on to secure a commanding 4-0 victory over South Sudan in their latest clash that was played on Thursday, June 19.

On-form midfielder Martha Amunyolet produced a woman of the match performance that saw her find the back of the net in the second half. Elizabeth Ochaka, Faith Mboya and Violet Nanjala were also in the score sheet in that one-sided encounter.

Therefore, despite playing at a hostile ground, Kenya has what it takes to humble Tanzania in front of their home supporters and return to Nairobi with the prestigious trophy.
