Ambrose Rachier has been re-elected as the Gor Mahia Chairperson following the club elections held on Sunday, April 13 2025, at the Nyayo Gymnasium.

Rachier secured his position for another term after garnering 658 votes, triumphing over his challenger, outgoing Gor Mahia Treasurer Dolfina Odhiambo, who received 456 votes.

Earlier in the week, the Gor Mahia Electoral Board had issued a final list indicating that Rachier was the sole candidate for the chairperson seat.

However, a revised list was later released after Dolfina Odhiambo, the outgoing Club Treasurer, petitioned the Commission to lower the registration fee and extend the nomination deadline.

The club complied following a court ruling, allowing her candidacy.

Rachier, who has been a cornerstone of Gor Mahia’s administration for the past 17 years, will now serve an additional four-year term, potentially marking a remarkable 21-year legacy.

During his tenure, K’Ogalo has clinched the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League title nine times and secured the FKF Cup on four occasions, most recently in 2021.

Under his stewardship, the club has also made multiple appearances in the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup.

Meanwhile, Sally Bolo, the former club treasurer who was initially excluded from the first list of candidates, has outshone Victor Ouma Omondi, by securing 610 votes against his 488. With this victory, Gor Mahia ushers in a new Vice Chairperson for the next four years.

Nick Arum is the newly elected Gor Mahia Secretary General after defeating the incumbent, Sam Ocholla, with 582 votes to 501.

In the honorary treasurer docket, Gerphas Okuku was elected as Gor Mahia’s representative after narrowly defeating Philip Nyakwana in a closely contested race, winning by a margin of 527 votes to 524.
