Tusker FC’s fast-rising forward Ryan Ogam is set to remain sidelined for an extended period after undergoing a minor surgery to treat a meniscus tear
Ogam has been absent since February 26 when he last featured in a 1-1 draw against Shabana at Machakos Stadium.
The club took to social media to express their support for their star striker, wishing him a swift recovery.
Wishing a speedy recovery to our top scorer Ryan Wesley Ogam who has undergone a minor procedure for a meniscus tear. Get well soon, Rayo – we can’t wait to have you back! the club posted.

Ogam has been a central figure for the Brewers this season, scoring a leading 15 out of the 34 goals Tusker have scored so far.
His absence is a significant blow to Charles Okere’s side, who are currently in a heated title race trailing Kenya Police by a single point (47 points compared to 48).
With just nine matches remaining, Okere will need to rely on the talents of rising star David PolePole as they push for the Premier League title.
Okere concerned about his strikers
As the club struggles to find the back of the net and with Ogam now out, Okere’s ambitions for the 2024/25 FKFPL title may be severely impacted, prompting him to voice his concerns and express a sense of urgency to improve goal-scoring.
“Nine games remaining, but I always say, one game at a time. We are playing a tough side next weekend, which is Mara. For us, it’s about continuing to improve in areas where we need to, particularly in terms of scoring.
In today’s match against Bidco United, we had clear chances in the first half but were wasteful. This is an area we must invest in, because to win, we need to score goals,” Okere said after the 0-1 win against Bidco United over the weekend.
Ogam currently leads the top scorer chart with 15 goals but Moses Shummah of Kakamega Homeboyz is just two goals behind.
