Tusker FC forward Ryan Ogam is one of the most lethal strikers in the 24/25 Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) at the moment.
Ogam, who joined Tusker in August from National Super League (NSL) side Rainbow FC, has netted six goals since the start of the 24/25 season and is among the early frontrunners for the Golden Boot alongside KCB forward Francis Kahiro.
However, unlike most strikers who have had a smooth start to the 2024/2025 league campaign, Ogam’s first season with the Brewers has been full of challenges.
The talented player suffered an injury several weeks ago which made him to be sidelined for three matches.

Speaking before Tusker’s tricky clash against Nairobi City Stars where he ended up scoring the solitary goal that secured all three points, Ogam revealed how his parents helped him recover from the setback.
“The injury had a significant impact on me mentally, but I had supportive parents, who have also played football. My dad really helped me to overcome the mental challenge through his advice,” explained the versatile player.
He added that the Christian foundation that his father laid on him, particularly reading the bible also played a huge role in his recovery.

Ogam, who earned his first ever national team call up earlier this month, also talked about the objectives that he has set for himself this season.
“There are targets I had set at the start of the season. Of course as a striker, it is always a nice feeling when you score every time. I had set a target to score at least 10 goals by the end of the first leg or more and feature in the national team, of which I got a chance to earn a call up but I didn’t feature in any game.
So, I hope to score more goals and feature in the national team, not just to earn a call up. I would like to play and help the country.
I can say to be noticed by the national team is a big thing, at least there is someone noticing the hard work I put in. To be called was a very huge motivation for me. I saw the fruits of working hard,” stated Ogam.
