Murang’a SEAL will be hoping to replicate their October 2024 performance when they travel to the Dandora Stadium to take on AFC Leopards for their second leg league clash.
The first leg saw SEAL record a narrow 1-0 victory at the SportPesa Arena in Murang’a County with Humphrey Obina’s second-half goal providing the decisive strike that handed Juma Abdallah’s side a crucial three points.
However, the upcoming encounter, set to kick off at 4:00 pm EAT, promises to be a different spectacle, with both teams now under new leadership.
Fred Ambani, who replaced Tomas Trucha last year, will lead AFC Leopards, while John Njogu has taken charge of Murang’a SEAL, succeeding Juma Abdallah.

Despite their first-leg triumph, Murang’a SEAL enter this match as underdogs, sitting in 12th place with 22 points from 17 matches—six wins, four draws, and seven losses.
John Njogu’s side has yet to secure a victory this year, starting with a 0-0 draw against Bidco United, followed by a 1-0 defeat to Police FC.
Nevertheless, they still have an opportunity to break into the top 10, with the competition tightly packed.
On the other hand, AFC Leopards are flyinng high following a dominant 4-2 win over KCB in their rescheduled league match on Wednesday.
Kelly Madada’s brace, Ovella Ochieng’s stunning free-kick and Kennedy Owino’s goal powered Ingwe to a remarkable comeback from their earlier 4-2 setback against Talanta FC, as they inflicted more misery on KCB.

AFC Leopards injury boost
As SEAL seeks to push for a top-ten finish, this match presents a key opportunity for Ingwe to rise to third place.
Currently in fifth with 25 points, just two behind fourth-placed Gor Mahia, a win would see them level with KCB on 28 points.
However, a superior goal difference would put them ahead, potentially propelling them into the third spot on the log.
With Kaycie Odhiambo and Ovella Ochieng back in Fred Ambani’s squad, AFC Leopards have received a significant boost ahead of the clash.
This match is set to be a thrilling encounter, as one team seeks its first win of the year, while the other targets a top four spot.
