The 2026/27 SportPesa League Gameweek Two concluded on Tuesday afternoon at the Nyayo National Stadium, with AFC Leopards edging Kenya Police 2-1 through a stoppage-time winner from Ronald Sichenje.
The second round produced 17 goals across eight completed matches, an average of 2.13 goals per game, as the league continued to showcase its competitive nature with five victories and three draws.
The Tusker versus Migori Youth fixture was postponed due to Tusker’s CAF commitments.
Gor Mahia emerged as the only side to maintain a perfect record after two rounds, defeating APS Bomet 1-0 to move to six points.
K’Ogalo are now the only team with two wins from two matches, having opened their campaign with a 4-2 victory over Murang’a SEAL.

Murang’a SEAL, meanwhile, produced the biggest result of the round, thrashing Posta Rangers 5-1 at SportPesa Arena.
The victory took SEAL’s goals tally to seven after two matches – the highest in the league – but they have also conceded five, also the most by any team.
Their opening two matches have therefore produced 12 goals, highlighting both their attacking threat and defensive vulnerability.
Five teams are now tied on four points, with Mara Sugar, KCB, Kakamega Homeboyz, Shabana and AFC Leopards all sitting behind Gor Mahia.
The congested standings underline how little separates the leading pack after just two rounds.

AFC Leopards secured their first victory of the campaign in dramatic fashion, leaving it late to beat Kenya Police 2-1 at Nyayo National Stadium.
Kevin Luke Otiala opened the scoring for Ingwe before Elvis Rupia levelled for Police against his former club with Sichenje’s 90+2nd-minute strike settling the contest and handing Leopards their first three points of the campaign.
Kenya Police, however, remain without a victory after two matches. The 2-1 defeat followed their 1-1 draw against newly promoted Migori Youth in Gameweek One, leaving the former champions with just one point from their opening two matches.
Shabana on the other hand continued their impressive defensive start to the campaign, remaining unbeaten and yet to concede a goal.
The Glamour Boys followed their opening-day 1-0 victory over Posta Rangers with a goalless draw against Nairobi United to move to four points.

KCB also strengthened their position near the top after following their opening-day 2-2 draw against Nairobi United with a narrow 1-0 victory over Mathare United. The result leaves the bankers unbeaten after two rounds.
The second round also brought another difficult weekend for Posta Rangers and Mombasa United, who remain the only two sides without a point after losing both of their opening matches. Posta suffered the heavier defeat, going down 5-1 to Murang’a SEAL, while Mombasa United lost 2-1 to Mara Sugar.
There were also several individual milestones. Josephat Lopaga and Alpha Onyango became the only players to score in consecutive matches, finding the net in both Gameweek One and Gameweek Two.
Lopaga’s brace against Posta Rangers took his tally to four goals, making him the league’s leading scorer after two rounds, while Alpha Onyango moved to two goals after scoring against APS Bomet.

The second round also produced five clean sheets, with Gor Mahia, KCB, Shabana, Nairobi United and Mathare United among the sides keeping their opponents scoreless.
With two rounds completed, Gor Mahia lead the early race with six points, while a tightly packed group of five teams sit just two points behind.
At the other end, Posta Rangers and Mombasa United are still searching for their first points, setting up an intriguing Gameweek Three that starts on Saturday afternoon.
