Gor Mahia will continue their growing tradition of floodlit football at Nyayo National Stadium when they host Bandari FC in a SportPesa League Round 3 encounter on Saturday.
The defending champions have confirmed that the match will kick off at 7pm, following a poll in which the majority of their supporters favoured an evening fixture.
The decision comes after Gor Mahia sought the views of their fans on the preferred kick-off time, with the club ultimately opting for the overwhelming majority view.
In an official communication on their social media handles, Gor Mahia revealed that 7,767 supporters voted in favour of a 7pm kick-off, compared to 998 who preferred the alternative.

Gor Mahia set for floodlit Bandari clash
The club said the decision followed a review of the votes and comments from supporters, with management and key stakeholders unanimously agreeing to stage the Bandari match under the Nyayo floodlights.
“Fans, you spoke, your voices were heard. After reviewing your votes and comments, management and key stakeholders involved have unanimously agreed to stage Saturday’s match against Bandari at 7pm at Nyayo Stadium,” the club announced.
Gor Mahia explained that the majority who voted for the 7pm kick-off were motivated by the desire to make the fixture accessible to supporters who would otherwise be unavailable during the day because of work or church commitments.
Saturday’s encounter will therefore provide another opportunity for K’Ogalo to play in front of their supporters under the Nyayo floodlights.
The champions have already experienced the atmosphere of night football this season, having opened their SportPesa League campaign with a 4-2 victory over Murang’a SEAL at Nyayo.
Gor Mahia followed that impressive start with a narrow 1-0 victory over APS Bomet in Gameweek Two, giving them maximum points from their opening two matches.
The results have given the champions an early platform in their quest to retain the SportPesa League title, and they will now be looking to make it three wins from three against Bandari.
