Cristiano Ronaldo, João Félix and Kingsley Coman have been reported available for the Matchweek 8 squad, while Mohamed Simakan has also returned to contention after a muscle problem.

Diriyah arrive as the best-performing of this season’s promoted clubs after winning three of their first seven Saudi Pro League matches. Final availability and the confirmed starting XI should be checked close to kick-off rather than inferred from earlier match squads.

Al Nassr begin Matchweek 8 third with 16 points from seven matches, after five wins, one draw and one defeat. They sit two points behind leaders Al Hilal and one behind Al Ittihad.

Diriyah have adapted quickly after promotion, winning three of their first seven league matches to sit eighth. That start gives the visitors stronger league context than the original draft’s generic ‘upset’ framing suggests.

The clubs do not have a long recent Saudi Pro League head-to-head record. Their latest senior meeting came in the King’s Cup on 18 August 2026, when Al Nassr won 4-1 away to Diriyah.

Cristiano Ronaldo remains the headline Al Nassr attacking figure, with João Félix and Kingsley Coman adding further threat around him. Ronaldo’s availability is especially relevant after a recent fitness concern, making the confirmed starting XI important before kick-off.
