Dortmund have started the Bundesliga season with four wins from four matches and 12 points. They begin Matchday 5 top of the table and two points clear of the nearest challengers.

Bremen opened with a 4-1 defeat at Freiburg, then beat RB Leipzig 3-1, drew 1-1 at Cologne and recovered from two goals down to beat Augsburg 3-2. That run has moved them to seven points from four matches.

Dortmund won the most recent Bundesliga meeting 2-0 at the Weserstadion on 16 May 2026. Serhou Guirassy scored the opener before Yan Couto added the second in stoppage time.

Historical results provide context, but the current fixture has its own team news and conditions. Review the football markets currently available on SportPesa Kenya for the match itself.

Serhou Guirassy is central to Dortmund’s attack and scored in the 2-0 win over Bremen in May. Niclas Füllkrug is the main Bremen storyline as he returns to face his former club after scoring in three consecutive Bundesliga matches.

The midfield battle will also matter. Dortmund will look to control territory and create chances around Guirassy, while Bremen need to stay compact and use quick transitions when Dortmund lose the ball.
