The 2026 Africa Men’s 7s tournament has officially been confirmed by Rugby Africa, with the continental showpiece slated for June 20-21.
This edition is set to go down at the SPARC in Cascavelle, Mauritius.
Kenya 7s will be among the 12 nations taking part in this clash, where three pools have been drawn, each featuring four nations.
The second-string side, Kenya Morans, have landed in Pool C, where they will face off against three-time champions Zimbabwe, Burkina Faso, and Morocco.

Kenya, the most successful team in Africa Men’s Sevens history with six titles, will be aiming to improve on last year’s performance at Labourdonnais Sports Club in Mauritius, where they narrowly missed out on a podium finish after placing fourth.
Led by head coach Louis Kisia, Kenya fought through to the semifinals but narrowly fell 10-14 to Madagascar, forcing them to battle for bronze against Zimbabwe.
Though Kenya grabbed the early lead in that matchup, Zimbabwe mounted a gritty second-half comeback to snatch a 21-19 victory.

Now the Kenya Morans are eager to flex their muscle in this tournament later in June and reclaim the crown they last seized in 2023.
Meanwhile, Pool A features reigning champions South Africa, who will face hosts Mauritius alongside Nigeria and Zambia. In Pool B, Madagascar will battle 2024 champions Uganda, as well as Ghana and Tunisia.
The 2025 Rugby Africa Men’s 7s Cup was ultimately won by South Africa, who defeated Madagascar 28-12 in the final.
