Harambee Stars midfielder Timothy Ouma has added a major milestone to his young career after helping Lech Poznań clinch the 2025/26 Polish Ekstraklasa title following a hard-fought 3-1 victory away to Radomiak Radom on Saturday night.
The victory saw Lech seal the league crown with one match to spare, successfully defending their title and winning back-to-back Polish league championships for the first time in 33 years. For Ouma, the triumph marks another huge achievement for a Kenyan player abroad as he continues to establish himself in European football.
Lech arrived in Radom knowing victory would mathematically confirm them as champions, but the evening started in difficult fashion when Radomiak took an early lead through Jan Grzesik. The home side, inspired by the emotional farewell of club captain Leandro, made life uncomfortable for the visitors in a packed stadium.

Leandro, who was playing the final match of his career after 14 years at the club, left the pitch in tears in the ninth minute as both sets of players formed a guard of honour while fans chanted his name around the stadium.
Despite the emotional atmosphere and early setback, Lech quickly regained composure. Honduran winger Luis Palma delivered a dangerous cross that striker Mikael Ishak converted to level matters before Palma himself found the net moments later to hand the visitors the lead.

Lech continued to show why they have been the dominant side in Poland this season and eventually wrapped up the contest in the second half when Ishak completed his brace to make it 3-1.
At the final whistle, jubilant scenes erupted among the Lech players, technical bench and travelling supporters as champagne flowed freely on the pitch in celebration of another league triumph.

Speaking after the match, Lech head coach John van den Brom admitted the achievement carried special meaning because of the club’s history.
“I would focus on the great achievement of winning a second title in a row. I know it’s something big because the last time Lech achieved it was 33 years ago,” said the Dutch tactician.
“I’m glad we managed to settle it now and we don’t have to wait until the last round like we did last year.”
Van den Brom also praised the strength and depth of his squad, factors he believes were crucial in navigating a demanding campaign that included domestic and European assignments.
“We acquired several new players, and when the injured players returned to the squad, we had a very strong squad. That was really important,” he added.

Radomiak coach Bruno Baltazar was gracious in defeat and acknowledged Lech deserved to be crowned champions.
“I think that, considering the entire season, Lech fully deserved this title,” Baltazar said after the match.
The title represents the 10th league crown in Lech Poznań’s history and further cements their place among Poland’s football elite.
For Timothy Ouma, the success is another indication of his rapid rise in Europe.
The Kenyan midfielder has continued to gain valuable experience at one of Poland’s biggest clubs, with the title-winning season expected to boost both his confidence and profile ahead of future Harambee Stars assignments.
Lech will now head into their final league fixture with the pressure lifted, knowing the championship has already been secured after another memorable campaign in Polish football.
