The FKF Cup has entered its decisive phase, with the quarter-final fixtures now confirmed following an eagerly anticipated draw that sets up several mouthwatering encounters.
With the competition narrowing down to the final eight, the battle lines have been drawn as teams shift focus from survival to silverware in Kenya’s premier domestic knockout tournament.
The draw, conducted by former Gor Mahia striker Peter Dawo alongside ex-AFC Leopards forward Dr. JJ Masiga, officially ushered in the last-eight stage.

At this point, as the saying goes, the wheat has been separated from the chaff, and only the most resilient sides remain in contention for a place in the semi-finals.
So far, the tournament has delivered plenty of attacking football, with a remarkable 183 goals already scored, underlining the competitive edge and offensive quality on display.
Among the standout stories is Division One side Mfalme FC, the only non-SportPesa League team still standing. The underdogs announced their presence in style after dismantling Murang’a SEAL 5-1 in the Round of 16, a result that sent shockwaves across the competition.

They now face a stern test against Bandari FC, who secured their quarter-final slot with a composed 2-0 victory over 3K FC.
Defending champions Nairobi United continue their title defence with a clash against KCB FC. Nairobi United looked sharp and well-drilled as they dispatched Posta Rangers 2-0 in the previous round, showing their intent to retain the crown.
KCB, on the other hand, were equally efficient, eliminating Chebaiywa Lions by the same margin, setting up what promises to be a tactically balanced encounter.
Another intriguing tie pits Ulinzi Stars against five-time winners Tusker FC. Ulinzi edged out Kakamega Homeboyz with a narrow 1-0 win, displaying defensive solidity and discipline, while Tusker needed a similar scoreline to overcome Kariobangi Sharks.
This fixture is expected to be a cagey affair, with both sides known for their structured approach and ability to grind out results.
However, the headline fixture of the quarter-finals sees Shabana FC lock horns with 2024 champions Kenya Police FC.

Shabana progressed after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over non-league side Kuta Collections, but they now face a much sterner challenge against a Police side that boasts experience, physicality, and pedigree in knockout football. This clash is expected to draw massive attention, given the stature and form of both teams.
The semi-final pathway has also been mapped out. The winner between Shabana FC and Kenya Police FC will face either Bandari FC or Mfalme FC, while the victor between Ulinzi Stars and Tusker FC will take on the winner of the Nairobi United versus KCB FC tie.
The quarter-final matches are scheduled for May 1st and 2nd. The grand finale is set for June 14th at Kwale Stadium, where one team will ultimately lift the coveted FKF Cup trophy and earn a place in the CAF Confederations Cup Preliminaries.
