“Paul is a fast and technical winger who can play on both flanks. He has great drive and courage in one-on-one situations,” said Sporting Director Ali Fares. “We see great potential and hope he can contribute both immediately and in the long term.”

The move is a significant milestone for Osama, who is the son of Kenyan football legend Godfrey Osama, a former Harambee Stars, Tusker FC, and Yanga SC star. Paul has frequently cited his father as a mentor, aiming to replicate the discipline and success that defined his father’s career.

By joining ESK, Osama continues a long-standing tradition of Kenyan talent at the club. He joins fellow countryman and Kenya U20 midfielder Andreas Odhiambo, who signed earlier this year from Kariobangi Sharks.

The path was famously blazed by FKF Vice President McDonald Mariga, who launched his European career at Enköpings SK in 2005.

Osama has been a revelation in the 2025/26 Kenyan top-flight season. After joining Murang’a Seal from National Super League side Mombasa United at the start of the campaign, he quickly became a mainstay in the squad.

His explosive pace and technical ability on the right wing played a pivotal role in propelling the Seal to fourth place in the standings this season.

In a farewell message, Murang’a Seal CEO Josh Mwangi praised the youngster’s impact.

“From Murang’a to Sweden. Paul Osama, you gave this badge everything, the goals, the fight, and moments we’ll never forget. Now it’s your time. Sweden awaits; go shine and conquer.”

Osama is expected to travel to Sweden immediately to join his new teammates. If cleared in time, he could make his competitive debut in the Ettan Norra season opener against IFK Stocksund on Saturday, April 4.
