Kariobangi Sharks midfielder Humphrey Aroko is enjoying a breakthrough campaign in the SportPesa League and the young attacker is now setting his sights on turning his impressive domestic form into a move abroad.

The teenage sensation has been one of the standout performers for Kariobangi Sharks this season, producing consistent displays that have not only lifted his profile but also helped steady his team during a difficult spell.

Aroko has scored seven league goals and provided three assists, underlining his importance in the final third. Across all competitions, he has found the back of the net 12 times scoring a poker in his in the FKF Cup Round of 32, making him one of the most productive young players in all competitions.

His contributions have come at a crucial time for Kariobangi Sharks, who have spent much of the campaign battling near the bottom of the table. The club has, however, shown signs of resurgence in recent weeks, climbing to 14th place on the log with 25 points after 24 matches.

They have recorded five wins, ten draws and nine losses so far; while they remain just four points above the relegation zone, their recent upward trajectory offers hope.

Aroko has played a central role in that turnaround, contributing a significant share of the team’s goals. His attacking output has often made the difference in tight matches.

Reflecting on his form and the team’s situation, Aroko has emphasized his desire to keep improving and help the club secure its top-flight status.

“I have had a good run as an individual player, and I am putting in more effort to help the club move from where we are currently,” he said.

He remains focused on the bigger picture, insisting that survival is the immediate priority.

“I hope to continue giving my best until we move out of the relegation zone, and as a player, I feel I am doing well. I will continue scoring to help the team.”

The former Highway Secondary School student has also set personal targets for the remainder of the season.

“My objective this season has been to hit the 15-goal mark in the league, and that will be a really great achievement for me as a player,” he added.

Beyond local success, Aroko is keen to test himself on a bigger stage. Having previously had trials with Swedish sides AIK Football Club and Östers Idrottsförening, he believes his current form could finally open the door to a move abroad.

“I know that if I continue scoring, I will probably get a move abroad.” the teen sensation concludes.

With his confidence growing and performances speaking loudly, the Kenya U20 attacking midfielder is steadily building a case as one of the brightest prospects in Kenyan football. If he maintains his current trajectory, both Kariobangi Sharks and the player himself could have plenty to celebrate before the season concludes.
