KCSE triumph
Despite scoring 195 marks in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE), Aroko worked smart and managed to register an impressive C+ mean grade in the 2024 KCSE exams.
Aroko, who was admitted at the Nairobi based Highway Secondary School four years ago, has credited the academic success to the institution’s Principal Patrick Irungu and Kenya Police Bullets FC head coach Beldine Odemba.
According to the talented attacking midfielder, Odemba and Irungu believed in him despite scoring very low marks in his KCPE examination.
European dream
Meanwhile, Aroko has divulged that he wants to play professional football in Europe in the near future.
“Since I have completed my studies, I want to first of all play in the domestic league but my dream is to play in Europe.
I believe if I play these games, I will continue to build my confidence such that when I go for trials, I will do my best and I believe I will one day play top level football,” he told SportPesa Blog after Kariobangi Sharks’ barren draw with Mathare United in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) tie.

U-20 AFCON prayer
Furthermore, Aroko made clear his intention of representing the country in the upcoming U-20 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) that is slated to be held in Ivory Coast between April 26 and May 18, 2025.
As stated by him, he will be over the moon to don the national team jersey in the event where Kenya is set to make its debut.
“Actually, I had even received a call up to the national U-20 team when I was still in school. It was just that I didn’t make it because of the KCSE exams.

However, I prayed for them to win so that I could join the team at the upcoming AFCON when I am done with school. I will be very happy to feature in the AFCON,” he explained.
Tanzania and Kenya will represent the CECAFA region after finishing first and second respectively in a qualifying tournament that was staged in Dar es Salaam in 2024.
