- Kenya Police FC eye top-four as they host Bandari FC on Sunday, March 1, at the Police Sacco Grounds.
- The Round 23 SportPesa League encounter kicks off at 2pm EAT.
- The two sides are separated by just two points, with the reverse fixture ending in a narrow 1-0 win for Bandari at home.
Reigning SportPesa League champions Kenya Police FC will be chasing three points that could lift them into the top four when they host Bandari FC on Sunday at the Police Sacco Stadium, kick-off 2pm.
The Law Enforcers head into this clash on the back of an impressive 2-0 victory over relegation-threatened Sofapaka in their last outing, ending a run of three straight draws.
Yves Koutiama and Abud Omar found the back of the net for Nicholas Muyoti’s side, steering them back to winning ways- an eighth of the season that lifted them to fifth place with 34 points from 22 matches.

Kenya Police FC eye top-four as they host Bandari FC
However, their home form has been far from convincing. Police have struggled to assert dominance on their own turf, going six matches without a win at home. That stretch includes five successive stalemates following a narrow 1-0 defeat to Shabana FC.
Their most recent home victory came back in November 2024 when they edged Mathare United 1-0 a stat they will be eager to bury on Sunday.
Bandari FC, on the other hand, arrive in high spirits, riding a three-match unbeaten streak comprising two draws and a win.
Under Bernard Mwalala, they will be aiming to stretch that run. In their last match, they played out a 1-1 draw at home against Nairobi United.

That point lifted them to seventh place with 32 points, just two behind their Sunday hosts, having recorded seven wins, 10 draws, and four losses from 22 games.
On the road, Bandari’s most recent away outing saw them edge Murang’a SEAL 3-2 at the SportPesa Arena, and they will be hoping to maintain that momentum after some inconsistent performances away from home.
Kenya Police head coach Muyoti remains optimistic about his side’s title prospects, despite their shaky form. He praised the character shown by his players in the Sofapaka victory.
“Overall, we played much better today, especially in the final third. This was a game we needed to win to remain relevant in the title race,” he said.
It’s only been four weeks since these two sides met in the reverse fixture at Mbaraki Sports Club, where the Dockers snatched a narrow 1-0 win courtesy of a strike from Darius Mshagha.
“We knew Kenya Police would dominate possession, so our focus was to stay compact and avoid being stretched,” Mwalala explained after that encounter.
He noted that the measured first-half approach played into Bandari’s hands by limiting space for their opponents. “We didn’t want to force things or leave gaps that’s exactly how Police punish you.”
Meanwhile, at the SportPesa Arena, Murang’a SEAL will be aiming to return to winning ways after two straight losses as they host a floundering Posta Rangers at 3pm EAT.
